Encouraged by my Aunt who worked as a dressmaker from home, my desire for dressmaking started at an early age. For several years, I experimented in making and altering clothing for family and myself, especially as I was curvaceous I found it difficult for clothing to fit my body shape. After high school I studied at Box Hill TAFE-Diploma in Fashion and Clothing Industry, in which I craved a career in the Bridal profession.
Within the years of studying at TAFE I managed to gain two part time job roles through Work Experience that was required. Both my jobs were in the workroom cutting and pattern making preparing garments for the machinists in whom my employers noticed my confidence, passion and understanding of fabric in the fashion industry. Straight after I obtained employment with Angelina Baccini as the head Pattern Maker and Cutter in her family business. I was quick to learn the technical understanding of how different fabrics drape and mound, and how pattern pieces are put together and machined.
